A former Division I athlete with 30 years of coaching/recruiting experience at the Division III, Ivy League and Division I scholarship level, Jim Stagnitta’s Major League Lacrosse (MLL) background and proven record of success makes him the perfect choice to lead Destination Recruit®. As a student-athlete at University of Pennsylvania, Jim was a three-year letter winner while earning a bachelor’s degree in political science. He would later become assistant coach for Penn men’s lacrosse program. He began his extensive collegiate coaching career as an assistant with the Quakers, helping lead them to a pair of NCAA Championship berths including a trip to the semifinals in 1988. Other career highlights include two seasons with MLL’s Denver Outlaws where he was named Coach of the Year in 2013. In addition, he spent 10 seasons at Rutgers University leading the Scarlet Knights Men’s Lacrosse team to back-to-back NCAA Championship appearances in 2003 and 2004. He was also named USILA and ECAC Division I Coach of the Year in 2003. He spent twelve years as head coach at Washington and Lee University with twelve consecutive top ten NCAA finishes and has a career Record of 226-136. Most recently, he was introduced as the new head coach for the Charlotte Hounds. Additionally, Stagnitta is Founder of MVP Team Exposure Recruiting Events. From 2001 to 2004, he served as president of the USILA. .
